The music project “Schiller” was founded in 1998 in Hamburg by Christopher von Deylen and Mirko von Schlieffen and has since established itself as an influential project in electronic music. The first single “Das Glockenspiel” and the debut album “Zeitgeist” laid the foundation for Schiller’s distinctive, melody-driven style, often supported by well-known voice actors.

The second album “Weltreise” (2001) reflects von Deylen’s impressions from a journey from London to Beijing and reached number one on the German music charts. A highlight of the album was the track “Dream of You” with Peter Heppner of Wolfsheim.

After parting ways with Mirko von Schlieffen in 2003, von Deylen continued the project alone and released the successful album “Leben”. Prominent guest musicians like Sarah Brightman and Alexander Veljanov (Deine Lakaien) as well as an accompanying tour “Live erLeben” contributed to its popularity.

“Sehnsucht”, the fifth studio album, was released in 2008 and also reached number one on the German charts. It featured collaborations with artists such as Xavier Naidoo and the Chinese pianist Lang Lang. The track “Time for Dreams” became well-known during the 2008 Olympic Games coverage.

With the album “Atemlos” (2010), von Deylen processed impressions from a trip to the Arctic. This was followed by further successful albums like “Sonne” (2012), “Opus” (2013), and “Future” (2016), which once again brought Schiller to the top of the German music charts.

In March 2023, the latest album “Illuminate” was released, accompanied by a tour of the same name in May 2023.
